We are seeking an individual to join the School of Life Course Sciences Professional Services Team as part-time Operations Assistant.
The post is located within the Department of Women & Children’s Health, one of the five Departments of the School, and will provide dedicated operational support to the NIHR Research Professor in Obstetrics alongside shared responsibility for general office administration for the Department which is predominantly located at St Thomas’ Hospital.
The post will be responsible for a range of business and project administration tasks, including personal assistant duties to the NIHR Research Professor in Obstetrics: supporting her national and international research activities; organising and supporting project team meetings; and maintaining project team documentation. As part of the School Professional Services Team, the post will work closely with two School Senior Operations Officers, to ensure activities related to research grant management, recruitment and staffing administration, and financial processes are fully supported.
The successful candidate will harness a proactive and professional approach to work, with the ability to manage a varied workload and to prioritise effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as the successful candidate will need to collaborate with colleagues across the university and with external partners to ensure an efficient exchange of information to meet deadlines. Previous experience of working in an operational administration and/or business services setting would be beneficial.
This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.
This is a part-time - 50% full time equivalent
