We are currently looking for a Lecturer in Occupational Therapy to join our School of Health & Social Care on a full time basis to work with our innovative Integrated Masters AHP/SW programme.

As Lecturer, you will develop, design and deliver teaching and student centred learning to our new Masters programme in Occupational Therapy, along with supporting a broader range of subjects. You will be required to conduct individual and collaborative research projects, contributing to the research profile within the school, leading to the production of high quality research outputs/outcomes.
This lecturer role will be .5wte related to practice placement, you will develop practice placement opportunities for occupational therapy programmes of education and with other staff allocate the placements for the occupational therapy students. You will act as a link between the university and practice settings ensuring we are continuously supporting our students in their practice settings to become confident and competent practitioners consistent with the HCPC and RCOT guidance and standards. Alongside maintaining quality assurance, practice educations and evaluations to support practice learning.
You will liaise with, brief and organise CPD opportunities for Practice Educators and Practice Educational Facilitators involved with the occupational therapy programmes.
Who we are looking for?
- Doctoral level qualification
- Professional qualification in occupational therapy
- Completed a Practice education course
- Current HCPC professional registrant
- Current occupational therapy and practice education experience as a professional registrant
- Demonstration of the knowledge required to teach and support students in the acquisition of skills and knowledge
- Ability to establish and maintain strong cooperative/collaborative networks of relationships
- Full driving licence and access to a car
- Involvement in occupational therapy practice placements
- Ability to support students and those working in placement areas
