ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 2, Technology Licensing Office (TLO), to serve as the primary contact for anyone seeking information regarding the Technology Licensing Office, demonstrating exceptional and prompt customer service when triaging inquiries. Responsibilities will include providing accurate, detailed, and high-quality information to all people contacting the TLO by telephone or in person; accurate mail distribution; reviewing and implementing MIT campus sustainability goals and other MIT initiatives for departments; recording incoming payments from licensees, assisting with the processing of license agreements, and providing backup to case entry in the TLO database; ordering supplies; helping with case management; liaising with the building company regarding repairs; and performing other duties as needed.
REQUIRED: a high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years of related experience; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy; excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills; strong telephone skills, including comfort with substantial volume and the occasional impatient caller and the ability to take clear and concise messages; and strong computer skills. Must be able to deal effectively with a considerable number of visitors; quickly comprehend complex and detailed materials and processes; multitask, manage daily responsibilities in a prompt and timely fashion, and prioritize and shift priorities as needed in a frequently chaotic environment; and work in a team-oriented environment. Seek a self-starter who enjoys working independently and is able to manage the complexities involved with scheduling and meeting daily deadlines. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Job #17662-5
