Student Counsellor (Male)
£29,514 - £35,210 per annum
Part time: 30 Hours per week on a sessional basis 40 weeks (Job share considered)
Through monitoring of requests to the UWS Counselling Service, we have identified a demand for gender specific counsellors. To ensure that the Counselling Service is able to meet the needs of its service users, we are therefore seeking to increase our provision of male counsellors.
Therefore, applicants are sought from qualified male counsellors to work 30 hours per week term time from September to May or alternatively for a minimum of 15 hours per week.
Working as a member of the University’s Counselling team you will provide a professional counselling service to students. You will also contribute to the work of the Counselling team in the wider university to promote the mental wellbeing of the whole student population.
Educated to degree level, you will have a post graduate diploma, or equivalent, in Counselling and have significant experience working in a counselling, caring, educational or similar capacity. Experience of working in Higher Education is desirable.
The post holder will be based at the Paisley and Lanarkshire Campuses and the working pattern can be negotiable.
