The Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Collaborative Outreach Programme (DANCOP) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Nottingham team as part of the Office for Students funded National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP).

NCOP aims to identify and address issues around progression into Higher Education. In particular, it seeks to undertake outreach activity in specific local areas where HE participation is low overall and lower than expected given GCSE attainment levels.

The role of the Project Officer is to develop and co-ordinate the delivery of projects and activities that support the aims of DANCOP, as directed by the Lead Project Officer and Head of DANCOP, working primarily with schools and college learners in the Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire areas.

The successful candidate will be experienced in designing educational programmes of activity for young people; ideally focussed around raising aspirations to Higher Education. The role will require working closely with school staff to ensure targeted provision is relevant and successfully delivered, monitored and evaluated. The role also requires the Project Officer to liaise with other HE and FE providers in the consortium.

The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills and proven experience of delivering a range educational activities. The role will also require significant administrative experience to ensure the project meets its deliverables and milestones, ensuring effective delivery of day-to-day administration for the project.

The DANCOP team will require the successful candidate to work flexibly to meet the objectives of the project. You should have proven experience of prioritising changing workloads, meeting deadlines and setting and achieving milestones.

This is full time post and will be offered on a fixed-term contract until 31 July 2021.
