The Division of Student Life is responsible for the delivery of a range of services and engagement activities which provide an outstanding UWA student experience. The team is responsible for student administration and front facing services, health and wellbeing services and co-curricular activities designed to enhance the overall learning experience. These services are measured by student satisfaction scores, retention and success rates and the employability of graduates. The Division is integrated across the institution and needs to deliver on the brand promise at UWA.
About the opportunity
You will be a member of the Student Life Executive and take a leadership role in the provision of comprehensive professional, client-focussed services and programs to all undergraduate and postgraduate domestic and international students, particularly in the health and wellbeing area.
You will play a leading role in the university equity outreach strategy and the strategic development of programs which target students from disadvantaged backgrounds, with an emphasis on the academic and other support programs leading to successful completion of their degree.
You will also lead the implementation of the relevant University’s priorities in the UWA Student Experience Strategy
To succeed in this role, it is essential that you possess extensive experience in a leadership role and ideally within an organisation that provides health and wellbeing services to young adults. An understanding of the Higher Education industry and the role played by health and wellbeing services in Education is required. It is also essential that your leadership experience includes responsibility over a large complex portfolio, change management and experience in improving business processes.
