You will manage the Maintenance of Residences’ Team offering services to the student and staff accommodation based across Stoke Bishop and Clifton, also the Sports Complex based in Coombe Dingle.
The team comprises 19 in-house trades, crafts and admin staff, to deliver a high quality, high value, efficient and responsive Reactive Maintenance Service. Manage staff within their Zone and specialist contractors to ensure that staff, students and visitors are provided with an attractive, safe, accessible and welcoming environment for teaching, research and support activity.
Ensure procedures are followed to deliver an effective, high value, quality service to all users. Provide coaching and technical support to their team to develop their capability. Evaluate and steer the effectiveness of the service delivered, whilst embedding a culture of continuous improvement to achieve and maintain a highly motivated, efficient and valued service team. Cross-interaction with other managers within FM Facilities & Residential Hospitality Services but also with building’s end users.
Occasionally requested to take control of small project when emergency occurs in the residential zones.
Responsible for elements of both planned and reactive maintenance, emergency incidents, H&S compliance, monitoring & handling records. Procedural driven & manage the zonal Maintenance budget (Incomes & Expenditures). Provide monthly spend and budget reports to the Head of FM Hard Services.
You will have substantial experience of managing multi trade maintenance teams and a highly developed, knowledge of the principles and best practice of maintenance in public and private organisations.
You will also have Proven track record of delivering continuous process improvement including developing performance improvement tools and processes over a period of time and a proven ability in successful organisational and process change management in a multi direct labour organisation.
You should have experience of using CAFM software and MS Office applications to manage maintenance work and resources by analysing trends and performance. You are proficient in providing reports in format such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
You should be well organised, have experience in managing budget and working with targets, have skills in H&S & Compliance requirements.
