Through a range of innovative learning resources and extracurricular activities, it provides the opportunity for the development of core academic skills and key personal attributes.
One of the aspects of Bristol Futures is Engagement Opportunities, which allow students to apply their learning to the real world, build networks and develop skills, through getting involved in extracurricular activities both inside and outside of the University. Students will be able to access a range of opportunities through the new skills development platform, myopportunities, launching in September 2019.
Bristol Futures is entering an exciting time as it becomes embedded across the University. A new team is being established within the Careers Service to take forward the Engagement Opportunities work, ensuring it continues to coordinate, promote, upscale and broker opportunities across the University, whilst contributing to the overall Careers Service’s priorities.
The Engagement Opportunities Administrator is one of the new roles that will support us to deliver on these objectives. You will work closely with other Careers Service teams and wider university departments and schools to maximise promotion and the use of myopportunities. You will get involved with organising best practice sharing events for staff and Engagement Opportunities for students. You will also help develop guidance and communications for stakeholders, and be confident in communicating with various internal and external stakeholders
You will have a positive and solution focused approach to the challenges and opportunities presented when part of a brand new team and excellent planning, interpersonal and communication skills. The role will be varied, requiring an ability to work flexibly and from locations across campus.
The role is a full-time open ended contract.
