Thisis an exciting time to join Coventry University and the School ofPsychological, Social and Behavioural Sciences. Asa commitment to our investment in Psychology, we are now looking to appoint anoutstanding and experienced Psychologist to join our highly regarded, andstudent-focused team. The successful post-holder will take a lead in the Psychologyteam, and help to deliver through clear, supportive and collaborativeleadership the next phase of the School's ambitious growth and developmentplan. Working with the School's, Deputy Head and Associate Heads of School, thepost holder will be pivotal in realising new course provision, whilst acting asa Course Director. This role provides an excellent opportunity to help shapethe direction of Psychology at Coventry University over the next period.

.The School delivers several undergraduate and postgraduate courses accredited bythe British Psychological Society (BPS). We welcome applications fromcandidates with expertise in any of the core areas of BPS accreditedcurricula including research methods.

You should be an innovative, solution-focused and experienced leader with anational standing in Psychology, and a track record of inspiring teams. Yourapproach should be inclusive, flexible and ensure our stakeholders are placedat the centre of everything we do. The School is recognised for the high quality of its provision of applied andprofessional courses. This includes a broad portfolio of on-campus, off-campus,blended and distance learning courses both discipline and profession specific.The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences has strong partnerships with employersand placement providers from a range of sectors including Local AuthoritySocial Services, Strategic Health Authorities, NHS Trusts, education, and theindependent, voluntary and the private sectors. Applied research activity is an integral part of the Faculty's businessand there is a strong commitment to enabling staff to engage in scholarlyship.For this post, the role holder will be expected to focus on academic leadership, and teaching and learning in the first instance.

Applicants must hold a PhD and publications or equivalent outputs or (if from Professionalpractice background) a good Honours/Masters Degree and appropriate professional qualifications and/or membership and or equivalent professional qualificationsthat might be considered as equivalent to a PhD. Applicants must demonstrate anexperience of delivering in an educational setting. Coventry University offersacademic support and professional development support and provides the opportunity for staff without a recognised teaching qualification to undertake the PGCE.
