The School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies (SPAIS) is seeking to recruit a part-time Student Administrator to join the team on a permanent basis. The role will be available for 19 hours per week as a job share with another member of the team, providing support to undergraduate Sociology and Politics students.  Ideally the 19 hours would be worked across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

In this role you will be the first point of contact for student and academic queries for undergraduate students, so a strong customer care orientation and commitment to service quality are required. This is an excellent opportunity to become involved in academic administration within a lively and vibrant School.

To be successful in this role you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, a good level of numeracy, and the ability to work under pressure to important deadlines in a very busy office. The ability to manage your own workload is essential. A strong customer care orientation and commitment to service quality is also needed as is a friendly, patient and positive attitude.  As the role is part of a job share you must be committed to ensuring the success of the role by working closely with your job share partner

For informal enquiries about the role, please contact David Brown (email: david.brown@bristol.ac.uk)

We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
