Reporting to the Assistant Director of Commercial Services, the Head of Commercial Sales will develop a conferencing, events and summer business strategy to drive forward a range of additional income generating activities.
You will lead the strategic plan to manage the event and conferencing programme ensuring a balance in academic and commercial activities. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at a strategic and influential level and is integral to the continued success of the University.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, entrepreneurial and commercially minded individual. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in developing a unique commercial offering and service design, producing and delivering against a detailed marketing and sales strategy. The successful candidate will have experience of working at a senior management level with the ability to forge long term relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will demonstrate a strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering in sales based environment ideally within the hospitality or education sector.
The post is full time and permanent. Starting salary will be in the range £50,000pa - £55,000pa per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
