PRO VICE-CHANCELLOR (STUDENTS) 

  • Fixed term, part-time appointment (3 days per week to July 2021)

The Pro Vice Chancellor Students portfolio encompasses a dynamic and fast-paced award winning university careers service which is reframing its structures to continue to be at the forefront of innovation in employability. The Graduate Career Development and Employability (GCDE) unit supports the career development needs of more than 17,000 students annually through 400 programs.

Careers Central is working across UOW to provide opportunities for students to engage in work integrated learning opportunities within their degree. We provide key learning opportunities for students through our curricular and co-curricular programs with a focus on Career Development Learning, entrepreneurship and employability. We’re strategic in our actions and we aim to create career ready graduates who are resilient and able to embrace the changing world of work. 

As an L&T Careers Consultant, you will show a genuine interest and commitment to workplace learning, and an appreciation and understanding of its value to a diverse student population. Experience in designing and delivering career management content and assessment within the curriculum at undergraduate and postgraduate level is critical to the success of this role. You will need to demonstrate your ability to connect with various audiences, underpinned by strong digital literacy and problem solving skills.
