The School of Veterinary Medicine is involved in teaching undergraduate medical students and biomedical science students, amongst other Life Science cohorts. The development of two major medical teaching hospitals within the Murdoch Activity Precinct has presented the School with the opportunity to strengthen our engagement in the One-Health agenda, an area that lies at the intersection of common inter-related problems involving the health of humans, animals and the environment.

The Role

The School is currently recruiting academic positions that can span veterinary and medical science in the One-Health arena. In this round, we intend to employ a veterinary/medical scientist with expertise covering the areas of public health and epidemiology. The appointee will be expected to develop links with appropriate funding and professional bodies, conduct leading edge research, and take responsibility for developing and conducting undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in their expertise areas.

Skills and Experience

The successful appointee will have demonstrated knowledge and research focus on Veterinary Public Health, a broader focus on the application of epidemiology to Public Health.
