The Marketing and Communications Directorate is responsible for raising the awareness and reputation of Queen Mary among its target audience, and for increasing the quality and quantity of Queen Mary applicants.

We are looking for an experienced marketing professional to take on the pivotal Head of Marketing role within our newly restructured UK Student Recruitment Team. In addition to demonstrating substantial experience working in a higher education setting, the successful candidate will also have experience of thriving in a more results-driven commercial environment. Reporting to the Assistant Director Marketing and Communications: UK Student Recruitment and Widening Participation, you will take responsibility for the planning, execution, monitoring and ultimately the performance of all lead generation and nurture campaigns and communications.  The role will include managing a team of over 15 marketing professionals located both in the central UK Student Recruitment Team and embedded in Queen Mary’s academic schools.

You will be responsible for driving forward innovation and improving performance within a complex multi-stakeholder environment which includes academics as wells as other professional services. In addition, you will need to have demonstrable experience of managing procurement processes, agency relationships, and substantial campaign budgets.

 Working in partnership with the Head of Recruitment and Widening Participation, you will be responsible for the full prospective student customer journey from initial awareness right through the decision making funnel to enrolment.

The post is a full time and permanent position. Starting salaries will be in the range of £54,853 - £61,311 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, access to a pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
