Role Description

Cranfield School of Management is a leading provider of innovative, practical management education focused on the outcomes for learners and organisations.  We are a world leader in research and education on leadership and management, delivering outstanding scholarship and excellent teaching through our distinctive academics and their direct engagement with practice. We focus on knowledge that addresses real world problems in a dynamic interaction between academics and practitioners.  We work with experienced managers, technology leaders and executives and challenge them to improve their practice.

Working closely with the Director(s) of the Centre for Strategic Marketing and Sales, you will be responsible for sourcing, recording and maintaining records, specifically in the areas of budget management and faculty teaching loads.  You will be working closely with the Marketing Alumni team during the cycle of the Academic year in relation to related Forums and Networking Events, forming networks, collaboration and professional relationships.

You will be educated to A Level standard or equivalent, with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes and usual office equipment. You will already have experience of operating in a busy office environment. In addition to this, you must have demonstrable experience of working with the principals of budgets and forecasting, recording data with a keen eye for detail.  Excellent communication skills, both written and oral are essential for this role.  The use of social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn for business use is also necessary.

For an informal discussion, please contact Lynn Wall, Executive Administrator on +44 (0)1234 75 8562 or (E); L.Wall@Cranfield.ac.uk.

At Cranfield, we value Diversity and Inclusion, and aim to create and maintain a culture in which everyone can work and study together harmoniously with dignity and respect and realise their full potential. We actively consider flexible working options such as part-time, compressed or flexible hours and/or an element of homeworking, and commit to exploring the possibilities for each role.

Cranfield is world-leading in its contribution to global innovation. With our emphasis on the aerospace, agrifood, defence and security, environmental technology, leadership and management, manufacturing and transport systems sectors, we have changed the way society thinks, works and learns.

We generate and transform knowledge, translating it to the benefit of society. Our partners, from micro SMEs to the largest blue-chip multinationals, from governments across the world to NGOs and charities, tell us this is what they value about Cranfield.

Innovation is part of Cranfield’s ‘corporate DNA’, evolved over 60 years of commitment to this agenda.

Our work informs policy for governments and produces new technologies and products for the world of commerce.
