About the role

The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Industry Engagement) Portfolio provides strategic direction and support for research and research performance at La Trobe University.

We now have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Projects and Communications Manager in the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Industry Engagement). Your main responsibilities will be focused around managing projects related to the Research Plan 2018-22 and communications for the Office of the DVCRIE. Managing, planning and the delivery of multi-media content on the University’s research activities as well as the curation of events and initiatives will also form part of this role. There will also be a requirement for occasional travel to our regional campuses.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this position you will bring broad experience in communications, project and event management, high level communication skills including written and editorial skills, with the ability to research, analyse and prepare articles and presentations on a wide range of information and topics.

The successful applicant will be someone that enjoys working in a small team and therefore is prepared to be ‘hands on’. You will possess a flexible and an adaptable approach to your work and be very focused on the detail.
