About the opportunity

The Core Research Facilities program contributes to the research vision at the University by delivering high-end research capability in key priority areas. This program enables the establishment, management and governance of high-end research infrastructure for whole-of-University research facilities, and represents an exciting new phase in the University’s approach to enabling advanced research. The University currently operates seven Core Research Facilities, sitting organisationally within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research (DVCR) portfolio. Our Core Research Facilities function as academically-led user-focused facilities chartered to deliver high-impact research outcomes, particularly in areas of strategic priority.

Applications are now invited for the position of Deputy Director, Clinical imaging. As the successful candidate, you will provide leadership and support for all activities of the clinical imaging facilities, including resource management and the implementation of agreed strategic initiatives. It is expected that the role will work closely with other academic staff working in the imaging space to ensure coherent planning and operations.

About you

To be successful in this high-level academic leadership role, you must hold PhD qualifications and will have a recognised international academic and professional standing within an imaging-related field. With demonstrated management and leadership experience, you will have the relevant skills to help provide leadership to the Sydney Imaging team of outstanding technical and professional staff. Your ability to make strategic decisions, together with a strong business acumen, will support your endeavours in key stakeholder management and industry collaborations.
