Applications are invited for a part-time Clinical Lecturer in the Centre for Teaching and Innovation. The major aspect of the post is to provide support for the training of BDS undergraduates and Core Dental Trainees providing urgent primary dental care. This post would be ideally suited to a dental practitioners experienced in providing urgent dental care (restorative and oral surgery) with an interest in the education of dental students, with the primary role being the provision of clinical teaching. An appropriate honorary clinical contract will be requested from Barts Health NHS Trust and the successful applicant will be expected to take part in all aspects of clinical governance activities and participate in the QMUL staff appraisal scheme.

The successful candidate should have BDS or equivalent registerable primary Dental Qualification and Full registration with the GDC.

The post is part-time (3 days per week). Appointment will be made on the salary scale in the range of £32,569 - £39,354 (pro rata) + £1,470 LW per annum. Benefits include 30 days annual leave (pro rata), defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

This 12 month post is available as a result of maternity leave absence and is expected that you will hold it for the full period. However, should the post-holder on maternity leave exercise her right to return to work earlier, then this appointment will end, subject to a notice period of one month.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
