PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR, Mechanical Engineering (part-time, 50%), to work with senior MIT and sponsor team members in the Traverso Lab to determine objectives and success metrics and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure achievement of deliverables. Will implement operational activities including any combination of administration, finance, information technology (IT), compliance, communications, and outreach; establish timelines/action steps and maintain Gantt charts; generate financial projections, daily approvals, and spend allocations for each scientist and maintain software; coordinate with press office for external press coverage of work and coordination with K-12 programs as part of outreach programs; develop recommendations for process improvements; manage program scope and schedule and attend science meetings to determine progress and identify potential project delays; participate in the design and development of program systems and resources; compile, review, and analyze data to evaluate program and develop methods for collecting feedback; identify potential new projects and funding opportunities; collaborate with ME-RAS and OSP; develop and manage program/project budgets; collect, generate, and edit documents required for grant submission; and ensure appropriate staffing. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  a bachelor’s degree; a minimum of three years of administrative, operations, and/or project/program management experience; excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people at all levels, handle multiple tasks simultaneously despite interruptions, and work independently and as part of a team; experience with financial projections; and advanced-level knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Job #17624-8
