The Learning Technologist will work as part of the iTEL Hub team to provide digital learning services at the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences (FoDOCS) and the Florence Nightingale Faculty for Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care (NMPC). This role will project manage digital learning development projects and content production requirements from the two faculties. This will involve collaborating with academics, professional services staff and students in the development, delivery and support of online and blended learning programmes.
As both FoDOCS and FNFNMPC offer fully distance learning programmes the post holder is expected to have expertise in instructional design and will also be responsible for designing and developing online digital learning resources and activities and the technical needs of synchronous and asynchronous teaching sessions. The post holder must have sufficient technical, computing and audio-visual skills to produce high quality interactive digital learning resources. The postholder will also provide pedagogical guidance and training to students and staff on the use of digital technologies and learning technology solutions. The role is also expected to conduct evaluation of learning environments and resources.
