Overview:

Applications are invited for the role of Assurance of Learning Project Manager to work in a busy student-centred environment within the School of Business and Management and provide expert project management in the School for overseeing the creation and embedding of systems and processes to underpin assurance of learning, in support of the School’s strategic aim of achieving international accreditation.

To succeed in this role you will need to be able to:

  • Commission a process by which each of the School’s programmes is mapped, highlighting in each case where programme’s learning objectives are taught and/or assessed within both compulsory and elective modules.
  • Advise all School committees and task groups that review assessment and student learning regarding best practices in assessment and in assuring that programme learning objectives are being delivered effectively.
  • Work closely with Programme Directors to provide advice and guidance in the development of new programmes and modules where such development might create opportunities for, or place at risk, programme-specific accreditations and professional examination exemptions for students.
  • Create clear documentation of the assessment requirements for each of the accreditations currently held by the School as well as those towards which the School is presently working.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the School’s Teaching and Learning Committees on the potential impacts on accreditations and validations of any proposed changes to programme diets or specific modules within these.
  • Advise the School’s senior leadership on the technological requirements and options for supporting the data analysis required to adequately discern where programme improvements should be prioritised to further student learning.
  • Prepare cohort analyses of learning assessments for review by the Associate Dean for Quality Assurance and other senior leaders in the School and the wider university.

The post is full-time fixed term for 18 months based in the Mile End Campus. Starting salary will be in the range £37,411 - £44,015 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
