The University of Lincoln has established a reputation as one of the most dynamic, fast growing universities in the UK. Situated in the heart of a beautiful and historic city it has built an international reputation for the quality of its teaching and research. Lincoln is currently ranked 22nd overall in the UK in The Guardian University Guide and 42nd in the Times Good University Guide 2019.

The Lincoln School of Engineering was founded in 2009 with HEFCE Development Funding in collaboration with Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery and other employers in the engineering sector, and is co-located with Siemens Global Training Institute. It is the first new engineering school to be established in the UK for decades and has been extraordinarily successful: it was highlighted as a best practice case study in the Government-commissioned Wilson Review (exploring Business-University Collaboration) and awarded a Lord Stafford Award for ground-breaking collaboration between industry and academia in 2011. It was awarded the Times Higher award for Outstanding Employer Engagement in 2012, and the University has been named as one of Siemens’ Global Principal Partner Universities for research.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to establish a diverse and rewarding academic career in a modern and dynamic environment. The successful post-holder will be part of the School's Leadership Group and play a key strategic role in the identification and development of new business opportunities to support the school's growth and income diversification plans, for example, in international partnerships, Degree Apprenticeships, and educational contracts. The post-holder will also play an important role in the development and delivery of teaching relating to business and engineering management, which is a key part of our drive towards producing career-ready graduates.

We are looking for candidates with excellent leadership skills and a proven background in business development and project management from either an industrial or higher education environment.
