Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Condensed Matter Physics in the Department of Physics (Ref.: 496958), to commence as soon as possible for two to three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in theoretical condensed matter physics; and preferably with experience in two dimensional materials research. The appointee will assist the project leader to conduct theoretical research project, and develop collaborations with experimental groups. Areas of research will be on atomically thin two-dimensional materials, van der Waals heterostructures, spintronics and valleytronics.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
