Job description

We're looking for two part time (18 hours per week), Careers Development Consultants to join the Student Futures Team, which is responsible for making a difference to our students' employment prospects.  The role holder will provide career guidance and skills development to support students in pursuing their desired career path.

The role

In this role, you will provide career guidance and skills development to support students in pursuing their desired career path.  You will work with programme teams to embed employability opportunities and assist students to develop the professional skills they need to succeed in the workplace.

You will support design and delivery of employability workshops to students as well as offering support face to face. In addition the ideal candidate will have a passion for the development and delivery of digital employability resources to compliment core Student Futures services.

Who we are looking for

Degree or equivalent is essential. A demonstrable history of continuing professional development in the area of Careers Guidance and predicting future job opportunities. 

A Post Graduate Diploma in Careers Guidance or a similar post-graduate qualification is highly desirable.

Previous experience of working in delivery of careers education, advice and guidance in a higher education environment, including the design and delivery of learning to groups of students and offering one to one guidance is essential.   

You will have excellent oral and written communication skills and well developed interpersonal skills; in particular, you will be confident at presenting to groups.

Salary: GBP 32,236 - GBP 38,460 per annum (Grade 5)
