Opportunity
Are you a leader in the field of molecular psychiatry, committed to building a team dedicated to pursuing cutting-edge fundamental and/or translational research? The University of Melbourne invites emerging or established international leaders at Associate Professor (Level D) or Professor (Level E), an opportunity to work in collaboration with colleagues of psychiatry and medicine to develop a research agenda across the Melbourne Biomedical precinct. You will promote multi-disciplinary research in molecular psychiatry that will contribute to the research goals of the Mental Health Theme of the Florey Institute as well as the goals of the Department of Psychiatry, integrating high-impact research with improved clinical care and teaching.
About you
You will possess;
- Either; a PhD in a field relevant to psychiatric research, or an appropriate medical qualification registerable or potentially registerable in Australia and accreditation as a psychiatrist with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
- An excellent or outstanding track record and exceptional distinction of research publications in peer- reviewed, highly-ranked international journals.
- A distinguished national and emerging or established international research track record as evidenced by successful collaborations and international competitive research grants.
- A track record of successful leadership in research capacity building within the area of Molecular psychiatry.
- A track record of success in incorporating research outcomes into translational programs.
