FINANCIAL ANALYST, Information Systems and Technology (IS&T)-Finance Team, to be responsible for activities that enable the finance team to plan and orchestrate budget processes, facilitate actual and forecasted financial performance against reported budgets, and provide support to IS&T leadership and staff through ad hoc financial analysis and reporting. Will be responsible for preparing financial analyses, forecasts, and/or modeling, including chart preparation and comparative analysis; recurring spending review and signoff processes; processing journal vouchers and communicating results; monitoring financial activities, ensuring proper fiscal controls are in place and expenditures are in compliance with MIT policies, identifying and troubleshooting financial management issues, and recommending corrective actions; contributing to the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and process improvements; responding to customer needs by preparing requisitions and business spending purchasing, payment requests, travel expense reports, credit expense verification, and/or invoices for payment; processing revenue and expense chargebacks; and perform other duties as requested.

REQUIRED: at least three years’ experience in finance, accounting, or relevant field and a bachelor’s degree or seven years’ experience without a degree; knowledge and understanding of an ERP tool (e.g., SAP, Coupa, etc.); experience with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel, PowerPoint and Word; understanding of account processes and methodologies, including purchasing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable; analytical, mathematical, problem-solving, time-management, and verbal and written communication skills; and ability to effectively interpret and communicate statistical information, interact with people at all levels, work collaboratively, and prioritize deadlines in support of customer requirements in a fast-paced environment. Salary range: $55 - 72,000
