English Language and Literature at the University of Leeds is ranked 34th in the world (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2019) and has long maintained an excellent international reputation in teaching and research. Our teaching programmes are run by a team of over 40 academic staff and reflect their expertise across the range of the discipline. They have also produced leading publications in diverse areas of English literary study from the medieval and the postcolonial through to emergent concerns with ecocriticism, the posthuman, and digital humanities. We now seek to appoint a lecturer to contribute to this vibrant intellectual community, and to develop our historic commitments to the global diversity of our teaching and the interdisciplinarity of our research. 

You will have a developing profile that will include evidence of achieved excellence in teaching and research alongside developed, ambitious plans for ongoing work. These will together demonstrate your proven potential to make a transformational contribution to your field in an international context.
