Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Life Course Epidemiology in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 496936), to commence in September 2019 for two years, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics, epidemiology, genetics, or other relevant disciplines. A track record of publications would be an advantage but not essential. Preference will be given to those with experience in implementation of microbiome analyses, machine learning to generate trajectories, or Mendelian randomization. The appointee will work on the “Children of 1997” birth cohort, one of the flagship cohorts of the School of Public Health. They will make use of the birth cohort to address important global health questions, including the role of diet, the microbiome, and growth trajectories in physical and mental health, coupled with cutting edge techniques such as –omics, genetics, and machine learning.
