The University of Bristol’s Catering Department has embarked on an exciting time of change. We are seeking to recruit numerous full time Chefs to work as part of our catering team, primarily based in one of the Halls of Residence but occasionally at other locations within our multi-site catering operation here at the University of Bristol http://www.bristol.ac.uk/students/services/catering/
Your main duties will be to prepare, cook and serve meals for staff, students, conference delegates and guests and to generally assist in the smooth running of the hospitality services within the Residences.
You will have a high level of culinary skill, gained through previous experience in a reasonably wide variety of catering establishments, including hotel and/or restaurant work and preferably not restricted to the public sector. You will have a solid understanding of the principles of food safety and the consequences of poor working practices: as such you will be required to hold a recognised cookery qualification equivalent to at least NVQ Level 2.
This vacancy will operate a five days out of seven working pattern, in line with terms and conditions. For any informal queries regarding the role please contact Rob Smith, hrrcs@bristol.ac.uk or 0117 4282418 or 07855663397
Deadline for Applications 23.59pm 30th June 2019.
We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
