We are looking for knowledgeable and skilled Information Security Officer to help us develop and deliver our IT Security and information management strategy. An experienced IT security professional, you will work as part of a small team focused on developing IT security policies, anticipating and identifying threats and providing a fast and dynamic response to issues.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in shaping the security and information management strategy for a successful and well respected UK University, renowned for delivering excellent experiences for our students and world leading research outputs across a range of disciplines. This is a senior role which will allow you opportunities to deliver improvements to the function’s levels of service and ensure IT security regulatory compliance, whilst working closely with and as part of the wider University security and data management functions. You will need to establish and develop strong partnerships with the University’s Academic and Professional Services communities and with other key stakeholders.

You should have a solid track record of delivering IT security on a similar or greater scale, of developing strong working relationships across a diverse organisation and of influencing and implementing positive change.

Reporting to the Chief Information & Security Officer you will be an important member of the IT Security Team, contributing to the teams and institution’s success
