Salary: £23,334 to £27,830 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a post of Respiratory Physiology Technician to work within the Nottingham Respiratory Research Unit (NRRU) performing specialist respiratory tests such as sputum induction, spirometry and challenge tests, body plethysmography and forced oscillation technique. The role holder will be responsible for maintenance of the suite of equipment. The NRRU is an established research unit running clinical trials into a variety of respiratory diseases. This post is structured to provide specialist technical support to many of the clinical trials performed within the unit.
The role holder will work on a flexible basis meeting the needs of our clinical trials. They will take a key role in training and developing the skills in the nursing team to establish competency for some of the investigations. The role holder will make a valuable contribution to the research output of this successful research department.

This post is part time (14.5 hours per week) and is offered on a fixed term contract until 30 April 2020.
