- Two roles available (1 Full time and 1 part time)-Sydney based
UNSW Medicine is a national leader in learning, teaching and research, with close affiliations to a number of Australia’s finest hospitals, research institutes and health care organisations. The Prince of Wales Clinical School (POWCS) occupies the Edmund Blacket Building at the Prince of Wales Hospital and the nearby Lowy Cancer Research Centre at UNSW. Through its presence as part of the Biomedical precinct at UNSW Australia, the Prince of Wales Clinical School is enabled to fully support virtually all contemporary forms of biomedical research.
We are seeking two Clinical Research Coordinators (CRC) (1 full time and 1 part time) who will be responsible for the coordination and administration of clinical trials under the direction of the FT1 Clinical Team in Surgical and Orthopaedic Research laboratory. As a CRC you will coordinate research and administrative tasks for the successful management of study procedures between two clinical trial sites and subject homes. You will perform administrative duties, laboratory collection, study related questionnaires and local travel.
About the role:
- $85K-91K + 9.5% superannuation (Pro rata for part time)
- Fixed term for 12 months
- Full time (35 hours/week) and Part time (17.5 hours/week)
As a Clinical Research Coordinator you will liaise with Prince of Wales Hospital and research office to ensure subject visits are conducted according to schedule; conduct laboratory collection, vitals and study related questionnaires; ensure the well-being of enrolled patient for clinical trials; ensure adverse event is documented and reported correctly; schedule and setup monitor visits; host and prepare for external audits.
About you:
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Associate degree in Nursing, RN or NP with AHPRA registration and experience with clinical trials
- Thorough understanding of GCPs and ICH guidelines
- Experience providing administrative and research support with the ability to work well under pressure with attention to detail
- Experience in hosting and preparing audits is an advantage. However, training will be provided.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills with a proven capacity to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines
