Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Pathology (Ref.: 496928), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants possess a Ph.D. degree in cancer/molecular/cellular biology or other related disciplines, with a strong passion for scientific and clinical research and the motivation to make contributions to patients who have malignancies which are difficult to treat using current knowledge and techniques. They should have a good command of English, good interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of research-related computer softwares, and the ability to work independently while maintaining the smooth running of a research laboratory. They should also have research experience in cell culture, transfection, in vitro/in vivo functional studying of signal transduction pathways, flow cytometry analysis, and preclinical drug testing. Experience in animal handling is required. Preference will be given to those with a good publication record and grant-writing experience. Knowledge of next-generation sequencing is an advantage.
The appointee will join a funded research group to conduct research on female genital tract malignancies. A main focus will be on preclinical drug testing functional characterization of oncogenic pathways and immune microenvironment.
