OFFICE ASSISTANT, edX (part-time, 20-25 hrs.wk.), to assist with daily operations. Will act as the first point of contact for the office, guaranteeing that every visitor, client, or employee is greeted and welcomed. Responsibilities include providing coverage for the reception desk; creating and managing an inventory of office supplies by purchasing and stocking supplies for the office; coordinating daily lunches and providing help with events including set-up, catering, and cleaning; collaborating with administrative assistants and other internal colleagues to prepare for meetings and events; monitoring and restocking kitchen inventory of snacks, beverages, and other supplies on a daily basis; supervising caterers and other service staff during daily lunch; coordinating with maintenance contractors, vendors, and cleaning crew to monitor plumbing, appliance maintenance, electrical, and other services as needed; and assisting with projects as requested by management. Will report to the office manager.
REQUIRED: at least one year of experience in customer service, hospitality, or related industry; comfort with ambiguity; good customer service, organizational, and communication skills; meticulous attention to detail; and ability to manage competing priorities; and a proactive approach to problem solving. The schedule for the position is Monday through Friday, preferably from 8:30 A.M to 1:30 P.M. (with some flexibility possible).
