Job description

Coventry University is proud to be University of the Year for Student Experience (Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019) and now we're looking for people to help us tell our story.

People are taking notice of us, so there's never been a better time to join. We have been consistently ranked highly in the Guardian University Guide in recent years, and we're extremely proud of our current 13th position, putting us ahead of over 100 other institutions, including 16 of the 24, often referred to as 'elite', Russell Group of Universities.

This role will be the lead contact for marketing and communications for specified research centres and to work as part of a team to develop a broad programme of activity to support the promotion of the university's Research and, Enterprise and Innovation (E&I) activity to stakeholders in the research, business and local community.

Furthermore, the role will provide support for academic staff to communicate their research to a number of audiences. This will require the ability to align the needs of the university to the external audience.

You will have excellent written communication skills, and be able to demonstrate a strong portfolio of previous work. You will be customer focused and have the ability to develop effective working relationships in order to produce content. You will have a commitment to producing work of the highest quality.

Your day-to-day activity will sometimes be hectic, but you will be surrounded by individuals who are enthusiastic and proactive.

We also offer a great range of benefits, such as contributory pension schemes, a generous holiday allowance and access to a range of discounts and offers exclusively available to staff. All this and more makes Coventry University a great place to work.

If you feel you could help us to build upon our previous success, then please complete an application form. We'd love to hear from you!
