Both posts are full time at 37 hours per week and fixed term until December 2021

A Transitional Wellbeing Team is being established in order to develop and enable a peer-to-peer approach enhancing and supporting student mental health and wellbeing, particularly in relation to transition from school to university.

There are 2 positions for a Transitional Student Wellbeing Education Officer. The posts will assist in the development and enhancement of support to students in relation to transition from school to university. In addition the role will support existing structures to help students to meet and fulfil their potential and to also raise their aspirations. This supports the University’s ambitions to offer an outstanding Higher Education experience which improves the prospects of all students.

The individuals' appointed will be a member of the University's Student Wellbeing Team, based within Student Services and will be expected to work closely with colleagues in Student Services and across the University, whilst maintaining key working relationships with external support networks.

The Transitional Student Wellbeing Education Officer role will include working both independently and as part of a team to provide a professional service to students, both pre and post enrolment. The Student Wellbeing Team is experienced and highly regarded within the University. Guiding principles include a commitment to continuous improvement, the development of leading-edge, student informed services and working in a supportive and collegial way.
