The University is located in Hamilton, a rapidly growing city in the Waikato region of New Zealand, which has strong manufacturing, agricultural and forest industries, serviced by a wide range of engineering companies from plastics processing and stainless steel fabrication to robotic packaging systems. This is an opportunity to join a growing School, offering modern and innovative engineering/science programmes, and help grow and shape materials and manufacturing as a discipline at the University. You will be expected to teach at all levels within the degree programme, support an established research area and supervise postgraduate students.
You will have a PhD in a Materials Science/ Engineering or a similar discipline, with an establishing research or industry record that complements or is related to polymers/composite materials. Experience with bio-derived materials would be beneficial.
You will have broad and in-depth knowledge of materials and manufacturing of polymers and composites and related areas.
Current salary range for Lecturers is NZ$75,514 to $90,946 per year, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
