The University is located in Hamilton, a rapidly growing city in the Waikato region of New Zealand, which has strong manufacturing, agricultural and forest industries, serviced by a wide range of engineering companies from plastics processing and stainless steel fabrication to robotic packaging systems. There are also aerospace, electronics, building products, hydraulics, mining, infrastructure and energy companies.

This is an opportunity to join a growing School, offering modern and innovative engineering/science programmes, and help grow and shape materials and manufacturing as a discipline at the University. You will be expected to teach at all levels within the degree programme, support an established research area and supervise postgraduate students.

You will have a PhD in a Materials Science/ Engineering or a similar discipline, with an establishing research or industry record that complements or is related to polymers/composite materials. Experience with bio-derived materials would be beneficial.

You will have broad and in-depth knowledge of materials and manufacturing of polymers and composites and related areas.

Current salary range for Lecturers is NZ$75,514 to $90,946 per year, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
