The Office of the Provost seeks an incumbent for the position of Quality Assurance Officer to be charged with ensuring that academic quality assurance standards and requirements in the university, which is an essential component of the university accreditation and excellence mission. 
The quality assurance officer will work with the quality assurance team on key quality assurance tasks at critical points in the academic year when tasks are time-contingent, and as directed by the supervisor.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • To ensure timely and effective completion of the academic quality assurance periodic monitoring process
  • To provide professional and timely support to faculty in quality Assurance and compliance related-matters, and in accordance with the university requirements
  • To respond to faculty enquiries and requests regarding quality assurance.
  • To understand and facilitate reporting requirements in relation to the work of the Quality Assurance and accreditation
  • To foster good and consistent academic quality assurance and assessment practices across the University
  • To assist with learning outcomes assessment, program reviews, and accreditation related tasks. 
  • To document business processes within the area of Quality Assurance & Enhancement to provide business continuity.
  • To ensure that the Department’s quality assurance and enhancement processes are reviewed and updated periodically to reflect any changes in requirements by the University.
  • Performs related tasks as assigned by the line manager.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree, preferably in information systems-related fields with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Requirements:

  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational ability.
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Bilingual (English/Arabic) is preferred.
  • Higher education experience.
  • Experience with Blackboard learning management system.
