Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Pathology and the State Key Laboratory of Liver Research (Ref.: 495848), to commence as soon as possible for three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics, genetics, computational biology or other relevant disciplines, with in-depth experience with at least one of the following programming languages: R, Perl, Python, C/C++, and JAVA. They should be highly motivated with the ability to work in a team environment. Good oral and written communication skills in English are required. Experience in cancer research and/or molecular biology will be an advantage. Preference will be given to those with expertise in bioinformatics and computational biology, and competence in utilizing next-generation sequencing and single-cell sequencing to study liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma, HCC). Those who have a strong interest in translational research and appreciate the complexity of biological systems are particularly encouraged to apply. The ability to work independently, to participate in highly collaborative projects, and to contribute intellectually to research development are requisites for the position.
