Assistant Research Officer in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref: 496917) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Master's degree or above in Social Sciences, Psychology, Statistics or a related discipline, with at least six years’ work experience in project management, preferably in gerontology research projects. They should have strong competency in quantitative data analysis as well as a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese). Those with experience in fieldwork data collection, contacts with elder people and caregivers, and good knowledge of the local elderly services settings are preferred.
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in planning, managing, coordinating, and implementing research activities on dementia care and intervention; oversee data collection, data analysis and drafting reports; supervise Research Assistants; and perform other research related duties as assigned.
