At the University of Bristol Careers Service, we are passionate about helping our students get to where they want to be when they graduate. It’s an exciting place to be, with the Service receiving investment for expansion, the university implementing its new strategy, and the development of Bristol Futures.

We are looking for people who want to help us as we progress. We are experts in what we do, and we do a lot. Across our teams, our programme involves central delivery as well as faculty and employer engagement. Our activities include running the successful Bristol PLUS Award, delivering a range of curricular and co-curricular sessions across the academic schools, and establishing a new Widening Participation mentoring scheme. We also engage with hundreds of employers each year, including both large graduate recruiters and local SMEs, and work with students on their own business ideas.

The Careers Administrator (Student Inclusion) is a new role that will support our student inclusion programmes across the Careers Service.

These are wide ranging from our Lloyds Scholars programme, Bristol Mentors, SME Internships, Career Boost and much more. We are looking for someone who is confident working with different teams on multiple projects at once. The person will need to be well organised and an excellent communicator.

The role is extremely varied, requiring the role holder to work flexibly offering extensive administration support to all areas of the Careers Service. The role holder will also be working directly with students, answering questions, managing expenses, liaising with external organisations to help resolve problems – this will require patience and excellent listening skills. They will also provide extensive support in helping to organise large and small events, including room hire, catering requests, managing invitations, developing materials for the events and helping at the events with a wide variety of support.
With investment and expansion comes opportunities for innovation. If you want to work at a Service that is growing and developing all the time, join us at Bristol.

We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
