Finance Team Manager
Location: University Park
Salary: £30,395 to £39,609 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

We are inviting applications for a Finance Team Manager to work as part of a team supporting the faculty of Arts. This is a brand new role within the faculty and is a great opportunity to shape a new team (expected to be 2 members of staff) and implement processes from a clean slate, drawing on experience and knowledge from colleagues in the wider Finance team.
You will be effectively managing daily processes and tasks, providing a high level of customer service to service users. Reporting into the Faculty Finance Manager, you will work closely with other teams in the Faculty to ensure that new roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and understood, and that the team is established and effective within a short period of time.
As a Finance Team Manager, you will lead a team to ensure that financial transactions (including expenditure and income processing, accounting transactions and project administration) are completed in line with the Universities processes. Your team will be responsible for handling purchasing, expenses, travel booking and other financial administration. It will be necessary to ensure financial control, overall compliance with relevant financial regulations, and meet internal and external reporting requirements.
The University has gross income of £664m per annum with an operating surplus of £25m.
