Reporting to the President and Vice-Chancellor the new Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) will be responsible for the leadership of all aspects of the University’s Education and of the Student Experience. You will ensure that students’ opportunities for success are maximised and that the University demonstrates excellence in its standards of learning and teaching.  You will do this by setting a clear direction and by briefing, motivating and evaluating the performance of colleagues engaged in learning and teaching, including those who provide key support services.

The University of Leicester is seeking an experienced and visionary leader, who is passionate about teaching and learning, and who has an ability to take the education strategy to the next level. You will have a credible research track-record and will understand the linkages between education and research.  You will also demonstrate strong achievements in teaching and learning leadership and will understand the relevant UK policy environment and global trends. Candidates must be capable of having an impact across the organisation and of contributing to broader strategic decision-making at the highest level. Negotiation and persuasion skills will be critical, as will the ability to inspire. You must bring energy, drive, pace of delivery and vision to this agenda.
