Mechanical Technician Vacancies - 3 roles available
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the restructured Maintenance Services team at the University of Surrey in Guildford and we have three Mechanical Technician vacancies available:
Working as part of an in-house services team of 35 you will be providing planned and reactive plumbing and mechanical maintenance services works, primarily in our accommodation space but potentially across the whole campus when required.
Working pattern - we are currently working two day patterns in the Accommodation team 08.00 – 16.12 and 11.00 – 19.12, there will be one role available in each pattern.
Working as part of an in-house services team of 35 you will be providing plumbing and mechanical services works, primarily in our Non-Academic space but potentially across the whole campus when required.
Working pattern - we are currently working a standard day pattern of 08.00 – 16.12.
All three roles will be reporting to the Accommodation Service Support Manager (SSM) and the posts will be responsible for completing planned and reactive mechanical/plumbing maintenance services that will include;
The roles may require the individual to undergo enhanced security clearance checks as part of the control measures required by the University.
The post holders may be required to support out of hours rotas as required by the SSM (Service Support Manager) to ensure operational effectiveness and business continuity.
For all roles the post holder must be able to drive and hold a current full EU licence or equivalent permanent licence and have a willingness to undertake training in other trade disciplines (where appropriate/required)
