Associate Professor/Professor of Smart Grid Technology

The Associate Professor/Professor, Smart Grid Energy Technology will strengthen the academic leadership in teaching and research programs in electrical engineering and managerial decision-making within the School. The Associate Professor/Professor will have an outstanding record in a relevant research area which will support the achievement of one of the University’s priorities of developing its research capacity. This position is a strategic appointment which forms part of the University’s priorities to further develop its key research strengths.
To be successful, candidates will need an international scholarly reputation including an outstanding record of research publications in refereed journals and a record of attracting substantial nationally competitive research funding in Smart Grid Energy Technology and related areas. Strong industry engagement, including involvement in inter-disciplinary projects is required, as is a record of Doctoral supervision to completion; experience in establishing and directing research groups; and management expertise, including sound people, resource and financial management skills. Academic experience and qualifications, commensurate with this senior academic level, are required.
