Job Summary

The position will be assisting the Office of Cost Studies and Property Services staff with completing a variety of different tasks, including, but not limited to 1) Service Center Rate Reviews, 2) supporting government audits of Indirect Costs and Staff Benefit Rate proposals 3) supporting the equipment tagging, inventory and retirement process, 4) archiving data, files, and documents, and 5) retrieving data from Caltech’s ORACLE Financial System. The incumbent is expected to have knowledge in Microsoft Office programs, be a self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision.

Job Duties

  • Accumulate, organize, prepare files and documents in support of Service Center Rate reviews and government audits– Accumulate and organize information requested by auditors
  • Assemble cost proposals and information packages
  • Retrieve data from Caltech’s ORACLE Financial System
  • Perform equipment tagging and support the equipment inventory process
  • Monitor and document results of the Equipment Disposal Certification (EDC) process
  • Archive data and files
  • Other duties as necessary

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Must have knowledge in MS Office and be able to handle files with large amounts of data
