Established in 1875, Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) has long held an important presence in the educational and cultural landscape of one of the most famous and liveliest cities in the world. With its position within the top 30 largest universities in the country, LJMU is also one of the biggest employers in Merseyside.

LJMU is an ambitious and forward-thinking institution that challenges convention and believes passionately in the concept of ‘One University’ – a community working together to achieve common student-centred objectives within a clear strategy. Our vision is to be recognised as a modern, pioneering civic university delivering solutions to the challenges of the 21st century, and to deliver our mission of creating and sustaining a vibrant community for learning and knowledge where staff and students work together in an active and supportive partnership. We provide opportunities to enrich our students, partners and the wider society through education, training, research, scholarship and knowledge transfer.

Thanks to an ambitious growth plan, focused on providing an exceptional student experience by providing high quality teaching supported by ground breaking research, LJMU is an exciting and challenging place to build a career. The University embraces technology to the positive advantage of staff, students and partners.

We are looking for a qualified IT Project Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of various digital projects within the University. For this position, we expect you to be a tech-savvy professional with an in-depth understanding of how technology can help us achieve our business goals. You should be methodical and have excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and our business users.

Working within the centralised IT department, you will be involved in a diverse range of projects. We would expect our project manager to be hands on when required, for example being involved in requirements meetings, liaising with our team of developers, planning the projects and even assisting with testing and UAT when required. This is an exciting role for a project manager that will enjoy working on a variety of projects that vary in size and complexity.

LJMU values diversity and provides a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone can fulfil their potential.

Please note all of our vacancies will be closed to applications at midnight on the advertised closing date, unless otherwise stated.
