UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1,
UCD School of Medicine (30 months)
Applications are invited for a 30 months post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 within UCD School of Medicine.
This two and a half years position is funded by the Health Research Board (HRB) with a starting date ASAP. The successful post-doctoral researcher will to take part in pre-clinical HIV CURE studies focusing on targeting newly identified signalling pathways regulating HIV-1 latency/reactivation with novel classes of Latency Reversing Agents (LRAs) or combination of thereof and expand therapeutic strategies to eradicate persistent viral reservoirs by forcing HIV-1 gene expression.
This is a research focused role, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator. The primary purpose of the role is to further develop your research skills and competences, including the processes of publication in peer-reviewed academic publications, the development of funding proposals, the mentorship of graduate students along with the opportunity to develop your skills in research led teaching.
Salary Range: €37,223 - €39,529 per annum.
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
