About the Job

The Molecular Signalling Laboratory is a leading biomedical research laboratory examining the molecular mechanisms of cancer development and progression, with a strong program in developing new therapeutic options based on this information.

As the Research Assistant, you will contribute to grant-funded research under the broad direction of the Head: Molecular Signalling Laboratory in order to achieve defined objectives and test stated hypotheses. The project involves studies aimed at understanding the molecular regulation and targeting of sphingolipid metabolism in cancer and other diseases.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this research position, you will have an Honours degree in biological sciences along with experience in lipid biology, analysis by high performance liquid chromatography, culture and manipulation of human cells.

To be successful in this position, you will have the ability to report and conduct research in industry-related, contract research programs. You will also have experience presenting research to stakeholders including the preparation of papers for high quality publications or posters for conference presentations.
