Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing (AEP)
This Lecturer (AEP) will lead in the pursuit of excellence in education in different settings and with a broad student population including: undergraduate and postgraduate pre-registration nursing students, students studying beyond registration and those engaged in advanced studies.
The leadership element of this role incorporates accountability for quality assurance of teaching and learning at programme and modular level. The Lecturer (AEP) will make a substantial contribution to supporting and teaching junior colleagues to sustain and develop high quality education. Clinical credibility and a willingness to develop and deliver high quality simulated practice will be expected. We particularly welcome applications from individuals who have experience working in child and adolescent mental health services. The Lecturer (AEP) will be expected to take up opportunities afforded by academic citizenship roles across the Faculty to support their individual career advancement.
As a Registered Nurse – Mental Health the post holder will be a passionate advocate for optimising mental health, have a keen interest in developments in the field, and be committed to enthusing the next generation of mental health nurses.
The postholder will be a flexible, energetic self-starter able to engage actively with team members, students, the wider College and other potential collaborators in sustaining innovative programmes of teaching. A track record of publication and contribution to education research would be advantageous although these can be developed within the probationary period.
